Anglesey has 125 miles of spectacular coastline with blue flag beaches, amazing wild life and water sports facilities. Some attractions include:
South Stack Lighthouse
This spectacular lighthouse, with its difficult decent, is now open to the public after thirteen years of closure. Though the trip to the lighthouse is worthwhile, please be aware that it is 400 steps down from the headland to the lighthouse and, more importantly, it is 400 steps to get back UP again!
Oriel Ynys Mon
The Oriel is a show place for local artists and crafts people, it is also an fascinating museum illustrating the island's history, culture and wildlife, and a venue where folk from all over the island come to enjoy their heritage.
Beaumaris Castle
This 13th century masterpiece is often described by experts as being almost technically perfect, and it enjoys its status as a World Heritage Site. Follow the link in the left hand navigation for more information on the castle
Anglesey Sea Zoo
The Anglesey Sea Zoo is an exhibition of living sea life from around the coast of Anglesey which was founded in 1983 on the site of an oyster hatchery. It has since developed every year to become an important visitor attraction. We are open every day from the beginning of April to the end of October, and at least every weekend throughout the winter.
Foel Farm Park
There are tractor & trailer and quad bike & mini-trailer rides, pony rides, chances to feed and meet the farm animals, and a lot more! There is also a Café & Bistro Bar, Gift Shop and even a Chocolate Workshop where you can see chocolates being made - something for children and adults alike.
Newborough and Llanddwyn Island
This national nature reserve on Anglesey attracts thousands of visitors each year because of its beautiful beaches and views of the sea and Snowdonia. Both Llanddwyn and Newborough Warren are acknowledged as having some of the finest beaches in Britain and have been awarded the Blue Flag, which means they have passed the highest quality of bathing water, safety and environmental standards.
